HLX Staffing, a global pioneer in virtual staffing solutions, is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Virtual Medical Assistant to join our team. This role is based at our offshore center and operates according to worldwide time zones, offering critical support to our healthcare clients around the globe.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist with telemedicine visits, including patient intake, documentation, and follow-up.
2. Manage patient records and data using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
3. Schedule appointments and coordinate patient care.
4. Communicate with patients via phone, email, or video conferencing.
5. Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks, such as ordering tests and managing prescriptions.
6. Provide administrative support, including billing and insurance coding.
7. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.

Job Requirements:

1. Experience in a medical support role, preferably in a virtual setting.
2. Familiarity with EHR systems and telemedicine platforms.
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
4. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
5. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
6. Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures.

Experiences and Qualification Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant is a plus.
2. Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or similar role in healthcare.
3. Proficiency in healthcare software and systems.
4. Understanding of medical regulations and healthcare best practices.
5. Fluency in English; multilingualism is a plus.
